Q&A Scene: Melbourne Music Bank Finalists Special ~ Zii

How did you start out in music?
Music has always kinda existed in our house my earliest memory is falling asleep in front of the speakers as a baby and since then its just been there. I started pursuing it when i was in high school but at that stage it was more or less something i’d been doing for a while.
What, or who, inspires you?
At this stage life inspires me. People are a huge thing in my music mostly because they inspire the colors that inform my words and emotion.
Which song do you wish you wrote?
Breathing underwater by Hiatus Kaiyote. The peotry in that song is amazing.
How did you feel when you were announced as a finalist?
I was confused at first and then overwhelmed. It took me a few days to get my toes back on the ground and even then i still only have 2 toes and 8 more to go before i’m grounded.
In less than five words, convince the readers why they should vote for you.
Passionate, love, inspired, good vibes.
What’s next for you?
I’m currently recording my next project and if we make it through MMB2016 i’ll be recording another project straight after. More music more creativity and more opportunity to inspire the next great mind.
What’s your scene?
I don’t know if i can describe my scene we’re all just eclectic in our tastes and styles and that’s why i love it.
