Last night the HER drinks, music and dining venue, played host to a launch party for a week long celebration in their venue for PATRON tequila. There will be something of a tequila takeover of the 5 storey venue with specially crafted cocktails on offer throughout and much more. I’ve long had an obsession with well crafted 100% Agave tequilas. A sip of good tequila transports me straight to a summer beach party… so I was more than happy to go along to the launch and sample PATRON’s latest creations.
We were up in the rooftop bar on the fifth floor of HER on the corner of Lonsdale Street and Dewery Lane and it was a beautiful Melbourne night. As we made our way upstairs, we passed HER’s chic and sophisticated restaurant on the ground floor, followed by the music room and the BKK Thai cantina. Each floor is ambient, inviting and impressively designed. I look forward to when I can go back spend more time there. We were met with a welcome drink of the new PATRON Spritz. I was a bit sceptical as I’m not usually a fan of spritz but I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing and full flavored it was. We were entertained by the divine diva @tanzertanzertanzer who’s ethereal music style and operatic vocals added to the magic of the evening.
We worked our way through the menu of PATRONs newest cocktails, because someone had to do it, and each was innovative in both presentation and taste. They’ve managed to create fresh, unexpected and very enjoyable flavor combinations. Tequila lovers will be in paradise over the next week. It doesn’t get much better than sitting in the beautiful surrounds of HER and sipping on artisanal cocktails.
