Q&A Scene: Monique and Mike of Alien Knife Fight

Indie Art duo Alien Knife Fight may be best known for their punk tinged blues styling, and front-woman Monique Ortiz for her mastery of the bass guitar in all forms, but the intensely creative Texas pair’s aesthetics transcend both medium and genres, as is showcased in their newest music video for “Clocks”. The video, filmed entirely on an iPhone with artistic direction and editing by the couple themselves, was actually created as a vehicle for an earlier track of Ortiz under her previous project, Bourbon Princess, off of debut album Stopline.

Snap Scene: Midnight Oil, The Domain, Sydney, 17th November 2017

Midnight Oil’s “The Great Circle 2017” World Tour saw the group’s classic line-up literally circle around our overheating planet for 6 months, starting and ending with gigs in Sydney. Appropriately for a band forged in their hometown’s sweat-drenched beer barns, the tour began in mid-April with an intimate local pub gig at Marrickville Bowls. Midnight Oil then honed their live show with over 30 gigs around the world during the northern summer, playing iconic venues from Sao Paulo’s Espaço das Americas and the Wiltern in L.A. to London’s Hammersmith Apollo and The Olympia in Paris.

Oscars Law & One Little Indian Enterprises are very proud to present Dogapalooza, Melbourne’s first dog-friendly (and hands down most adorable) music festival, is back for its trilogy edition on Sunday November 12th on the grassy noles of Richmond’s Burnley Park.

This adorable boutique festival is a quintessential ‘love fest’ of dogs (for dog own- ers and their dog coveting friends). Q&A Scene: Michael Paver from BATS

BATS deliver Truthless. This follow’s the previous singles Tarantula & 24 Hours, which were spun on Triple J, added to Double J, Community radio and Rebel FM.

Truthless is an unrelenting and unhinged guitar driven track that pushes sonic explorations of chaos to the point of obscenity. The title “Truthless” is one half of the forthcoming album release by BATS called “Truthless Faithless”.
