I make these biscuits with Reese’s peanut butter chocolate spread, but you could easily make them with Nutella or a similar product. They will never, ever win any health awards, but who cares. These bikkies are so good that I generally make a double batch, as a single batch gets polished off too quickly. The biscuits spread quite a lot, so make sure you don’t place them too close together. I use a mini scoop to shape the mix, that way they all end up a uniform shape and size.
Ingredients
100 grams pretzels, broken into smallish pieces
30 grams brown sugar
85 grams self raising flour
1 egg
300 grams Reese’s peanut chocolate spread
Optional
Extra pretzels for decoration
Method
Heat oven to 180 degrees C. Prepare baking trays with baking paper.
- Place all ingredients (except the extra pretzels for decoration) in a bowl and mix until well combined. Put small spoonfuls of the mix onto the trays, making sure not to place them too close together. If you wish to decorate, press a half or whole pretzel into the top of each biscuit.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, remove form oven and wait a few minutes for them to firm up then place on cooling racks. That’s it. They are done. Too easy!
