Recipe Scene: Reeses Pretzel Biscuits

I make these biscuits with Reese’s peanut butter chocolate spread, but you could easily make them with Nutella or a similar product. They will never, ever win any health awards, but who cares. These bikkies are so good that I generally make a double batch, as a single batch gets polished off too quickly. The biscuits spread quite a lot, so make sure you don’t place them too close together. I use a mini scoop to shape the mix, that way they all end up a uniform shape and size.

100 grams pretzels, broken into smallish pieces

30 grams brown sugar

85 grams self raising flour

1 egg

300 grams Reese’s peanut chocolate spread

Extra pretzels for decoration

  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees C. Prepare baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Place all ingredients (except the extra pretzels for decoration) in a bowl and mix until well combined. Put small spoonfuls of the mix onto the trays, making sure not to place them too close together. If you wish to decorate, press a half or whole pretzel into the top of each biscuit.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes, remove form oven and wait a few minutes for them to firm up then place on cooling racks. That’s it. They are done. Too easy!
