Snap Scene: Fuzzfest: Los Labios, Cherry Bar – 23rd September 2017

FUZZFEST returns bigger, louder and hairier than ever, and back at Cherry Bar this year with a kick ass lineup of Local and National touring acts from Australia, including our first International guest from Spain, Los Labios.
Yet again, FUZZFEST is set over 2 days of High Octane Rock n Roll Fueled Mayhem!

“What you get with them is a real, old school rock n roll show……..they sound like a dirty leather jacket!” Stephen Smith, former manager- Lenny Kravitz

English singer Sammy Taylor discovered at age 30 that his father, Silvio, whom he never knew, had in fact been one of Spain’s first underground rock icons. Sammy decided to return to his roots in Southern Spain, where he had not been since he was 2 years old. [pullquote]Sexy dirty rock n roll ~ live performance was like watching an amalgamation of THE STOOGES and THE ANGELS surface through LOS LABIOS, culminating with an extraordinary frontman channelling Iggy Pop, Doc Neeson and, of course, himself, Sammy Taylor.[/pullquote]

During a concert in Seville in 2014, Sammy met up with well renowned rock ‘n roll guitarist, Charlie Cepeda, and something clicked! After watching each other perform, they swapped numbers. And then a very strange thing happened….

Lenny Kravitz discovered Los Labios and invited them into his private studio in the Bahamas, where they met with Craig Ross, who produced their first full album, ”Birthday”.

Los Labios are currently working on their second album and are planning tours of the U.K and Europe along with Australia, U.S.A, Mexico, Chile and Argentina.
