Q&A Scene: Jamie Stapleton – Bean to Melbourne

Tell us about the Auburn Early Bird Truck Park, and Bean to Melbourne?
I felt the southside was/ is deprived of some food truck action. Decided to activate an otherwise vacant, over grown, waste of space. Mid week food truck space felt like it made sense. BeanToMelbourne has been trading at ACU in Fitzroy for the past year and a half and off the back of that I was able to fund my second trike (Trike#2). Gives me the ability to experiment with spaces like the Auburn Early Bird Truck Park.

How would you describe your coffee in music form ?
Smooth, methodic beats, with heaps of soul.

What is your preferred choice of coffee and why ?
Piccolo, full flavour without an over load of milk.

Where do you draw inspiration from ?

Any coffee tricycle anecdotes you’d like to share ?
Working on the street, anything can happen. We like to say working on the trike is character building. #lyfonthetrike

What’s next for you?
Richmond. We’re popping up indefinitely over the summer with Trike#1 in an amazing location just off Swan Street.

What’s your scene?
Great Vibes.
