Baby Animals played a sold-out Red Hot Summer Tour concert at Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday 23 February 2019. Celebrating their new Greatest Hits album, they performed a ten-song set of classics in front of 7,000 people. Baby Animals is singer Suze DeMarchi, guitarist Dave Leslie, drummer Mick Skelton (Thirsty Merc, The Party Boys) and bassist Dario Bortolin (Jimmy Barnes, Dragon, Olivia Newton-John). The band’s self-titled debut album was released in 1991 and spent 6 weeks at #1 in Australia (keeping Nirvana’s Nevermind out of the top spot), winning them multiple ARIA Awards, and achieving multi-platinum sales in Australia.

Legendary Australian rock band The Angels performed in front of a 7,000-strong sold-out crowd at Bendigo Racecourse in Victoria on Saturday 23 February 2019 as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour concert. After forming in Adelaide during 1974, lead guitarist Rick Brewster and his brother John Brewster on rhythm guitar remain the longest standing members of The Angels, and the core songwriters and producers for the band. John’s son Sam Brewster plays bass, and Nick Norton is the drummer.

Aussie hard rockers The Screaming Jets played to a sold-out crowd of 7,000 people during the Red Hot Summer Tour concert at Bendigo Racecourse in regional Victoria on Saturday 23 February 2019. Fronted by founding members Dave Gleeson on vocals and bassist Paul Woseen, the band also includes guitarists Jimi Hocking and Scott Kingman (Horsehead), plus Mark McLeod on drums.

New Zealander singer Jon Stevens played the Red Hot Summer Tour concert at Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday 23 February 2019. The fifty-seven-year-old’s set comprised hit songs from his time fronting Noiseworks between 1986 and 1992, as well as INXS from 2000 to 2003, plus select solo songs.

Australian rock band Chocolate Starfish opened the sold-out Red Hot Summer Tour concert held at Bendigo Racecourse on Saturday 23 February 2019. Led by front man Adam Thompson on vocals, the ‘Fish also includes Norm Falvo on keys, John “Stones” Nixon (Roxus) on bass, Darren Danielson (Roxus) on drums, and Zakk Zedras on guitar, who joined after the death of original guitarist and songwriter Zoran Romic in 2012.

With a slew of hits to their name, including ‘Shy Boy’, ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘Robert De Niro’s Waiting’ and the eternally iconic ‘Venus’, it’s no wonder they’re the most successful female band ever, with the most charting singles in the world.

Tiffany, whose tracks ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ and ‘Could’ve Been’ catapulted her to pop stardom. Now based in Nashville, she continues to write and release music, including her most recent album A Million Miles. With her debut album, she became the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts, and her legacy continues on this historic Bananarama tour.

The show explores the music of the late great Sam Cooke. Written by acclaimed theatre director Greg Carroll, the show is produced by Melbourne Creative Music Company and backed by the six-piece band The Champions of Soul. It embodies the spirit of Sam Cooke’s beloved concert at the Harlem Square Club from 1963.

As a mainstay of the live L.A scene and featured on the Decline of Western Civilisation 2 – The Metal Years, the band was more in line with the rawness of Guns ‘N’ Roses and Motley Crue rather than the polished pop finish of Poison and Warrant.

Some have described TMK as Dirty Rock, blending elements from bands such as Sonic Youth, The Cramps, Nine Inch Nails, The Cult and Joy Division. THE MERCY KILLS took their name from a line in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. “It was a mercy killing”. 2009 saw this bratty new outfit emerge writing songs, recording and getting as much stage time together as they could inject into their already heart pounding system.
