Snap Scene: Motor Ace, 170 Russell, Melbourne 12th April 2019

Australian alternative rock band Motor Ace performed a sold-out hometown show at Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Friday 12 April 2019, as their national 20th Anniversary – A Five Star Reunion Tour draws to a close. After forming in Melbourne during 1998, they had top five chart success on the ARIA Albums Chart with Five Star Laundry and Shoot This, which debuted at #1 and went Gold.

Both albums were nominated for Best Rock Album at consecutive ARIA awards as the new millennium began. Motor Ace is Patrick Robertson on vocals and guitar, Dave Ong on guitar, Damo Costin on drums, and Matt Balfe on bass. Fans were thrilled to see them back together on stage again after thirteen years, and to hear all their hits and album favourites.
