There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their 40-year career. Formed in the early ’70s in Birmingham, England, Priest were one of the first metal bands to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. JUDAS PRIEST went on to change the face of heavy metal.

One of the most successful bands of all time, STATUS QUO returned to Australia performing a handful of exclusive concerts as part of their Last Night of The Electrics tour.

TFS is the new band formed by Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin (from Australia’s epic art punk psych maniacs The Drones) with Lauren Hammel (High Tension) on drums, and Erica Dunn (Harmony / Palm Springs) playing guitars, keys and other gadgets.

John Power died in November last year after prolonged health problems. He was a much loved man amongst Melbourne and Sydney musicians and music lovers alike. Over his nearly 50 year career he was best known as the bass guitarist/ singer in Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons but he also played and recorded with many other great Australian bands such as Company Caine , Foreday Riders, The Rock Doctors and the Hippos.

Australia’s favourite hard rocking blokes The Screaming Jets played York on Lilydale Hotel in Mt Evelyn on Saturday 12 January 2019, for their final Victorian show of The Gotcha Covered Tour. Fronted by founding members Dave Gleeson on vocals and bassist Paul Woseen, the band is rounded out with guitarists Jimi Hocking and Scott Kingman (Horsehead), with Mark McLeod on drums.
