Party goers will no doubt have listened to this song throughout the decades. The lyrics are simple yet effective. The song highlights a drink which is close to many a drunkards heart. It’s Tequila, by the Champs, and never fails to fill the dance floor. Tequila is one of those drinks that has tipped me over the edge in my mid twenties, whilst holidaying in my parent’s place of birth the beautiful, island of Ithaca. I woke up the next day at 2pm, sporting bloodshot eyes and a massive hangover. Needless to say my relos thought that I had died.
Often people are in a highly inebriated state, by the time this song comes on, and perhaps partaking in drinking some Margaritas, Tequila Slammers or Tequila Sunrises. This song is best enjoyed with one of the said drinks in hand and when you are in a party mood. Watch at your peril!
