It was a near capacity crowd at the Enmore to witness two (essentially) 90s bands.
Living Color were on first. The lineup has been the same since 1992 – Corey Glover on vocals, Vernon Reid on guitar, Doug Wimbish on bass and Will Calhoun on drums. Glover wore a spectacular red and black suit with a yellow t-shirt underneath. They played for a little over an hour. They got a, well deserved, great response from the crowd. Their set included favourites including Love Rears its Ugly Head and Cult of Personalty.

Extreme are Gary Cherone on vocals, Nuno Bettencourt on guitar, Pat Badger on bass and Kevin Figueiredo on drums. They hit the stage running. Cherone is a dynamic performer with tireless energy. Nuno lived up to his reputation as a guitar slinger with a flawless performance, and also some impressive vocals. They have a diehard following that were out in force that went away satisfied.

Both bands are in top form. If you get a chance to see them take the opportunity while they’re still active.
