Q&A Scene: The Audreys

Tell us about your new single/ album/ showcase gig at AWME?
We’re celebrating the release of our 2015 ARIA Nominated record “’Til My Tears Roll Away” on vinyl!

How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
Really? It’s like pho – bitter, sweet, hot and comforting but with a few dodgy bits in there that you’re not quite sure about.

Which of your songs resonate most strongly and why?
That’s a question for the lovely folks who come and see us play and buy our records. They all resonate equally when your bag of CD’s fall out of your tour van…

Tell us a quick, on the road, anecdote.
See Above, well you said to make it quick….

Where do you draw inspiration from?
All those folks who pop in and out of our lives with their heartbreak and their happiness.

Which song do you wish you wrote?
That’s easy! YMCA by the Village People…it’s awesome and I’d never have to work again! That said, a distant family friend wrote a hit for Cliff Richard and bought a castle with the proceeds, so maybe that.

What’s do you expect to get out of AWME this year?
Fame, wealth, glory and a beer or two backstage.

What’s your scene?
