Tell us about your new single ‘HiiViSiON’?
The song ‘HiiViSiON’ was written right smack bang in the middle of the pandemic. Pete had just fled back from NZ and was hot off the plane and into quarantine. Will had this covid19 beat, Pete had this pandemic chord progression and as the crow flew east on a hot summer night, the song was born. The song isn’t necessarily about someone, it’s more a state of mind.
The ‘HiiViSiON’ video was written and directed by one of our close friends Sean Clancy Donovan. The inspiration behind the video was to create something unique, something the viewer could lose themselves in and finish the video thinking. “What the hell just happened”. Before they know it they’re watching it again and again.
What’s your favourite work at this point in time? (your own or your group’s work)
Our favourite work would have to be our debut record that will be coming out early 2021. The record goes together from track 1 through to 8 like the scenes of a play, traversing the landscape of our conscious minds. We’ve also released one of three videos that will accompany the release, HiiViSiON was the first. Look out for the record and two more videos from the plastic face gang early 2021. Big David Lynch vibes !
How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
Our sound is like a soy half strength Mac milk chai skinny latte ¾ full extra hot with an extra shot mixed into a bowl of fruit loops cereal reheated up in a microwave with extra hot chilli vege curry smeared to the inside of the microwave with a side salad of kaleidoscope jalapenos laced with liquid acid all floating in a golden painted crown made out of wet cardboard with lace frilly tassels and cheap Diamantes stuck to the sides…
Tell us a quick, on the road or studio, anecdote.
There was a time not too many moons ago where we both found ourselves trapped in an ironing board, we weren’t ironing at the time which makes it sound slightly odd.
What, or who, inspires you?
We draw influences from everything in everyday life. It’s not just music we seek influence from we get it from movies, podcasts, conspiracy films, cats, dogs, our friends, random people on the bus, anywhere and absolutely everywhere. Life in general is constantly inspiring us.

That’s easy. The Happy Birthday song
What’s next for you?
We are currently organising our second video single ‘BACK2TOKYO’. We are shooting this second clip with our pal Sean Clancy Donovan who also shot and directed our first video ‘HiiViSiON’. BACK2TOKYO is shaping up to be quite a unique clip and we are going to be releasing it early 2021 with our debut record. We are also working on our second record but let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves here.
