Q&A Scene: Melbourne Music Bank Finalists Special ~ Tempus Sun

tempus sun featHow did you start out in music?

Individually we all have vastly different stories, but as a group we all go to uni together. Which is beneficial in a lot of ways, definitely not beneficial in others. In short we have a lot of fun.

What, or who, inspires you?

As to ‘what’ inspires I don’t think any of us really know. It’s not to be the best, nor to make millions or live a certain lifestyle. The desire and motivation is just there for some odd reason. Some call it passion but I don’t think that passion is strong enough to describe it.

How would you describe your sound in food form and why?

Probably a loaded hot dog with the lot, know body has a clue what it is, but it’s pretty good.

Which song do you wish you wrote?

I don’t really wish any. I wish I could re-write a few, the national anthem for one. But maybe something epic like ‘stairway to heaven’ or timeless like ‘somewhere over the rainbow’

How did you feel when you were announced as a finalist?

I felt like id been lied to at first, then joyous and happy. You don’t really know if a song is any good until you play it to someone else, getting through on the comp means that someone somewhere liked it, so that’s really satisfying.

In less than five words, convince the readers why they should vote for you.

We’re struggling with votes. Sympathize?

What’s next for you?

All of us, attacking uni and sinking our teeth into the band as we are so young as a group, only 2 or so months old.

What’s your scene?

When Rocky knocks out Ivan Drago. Epic scene ;)
