Tell us about your new single/ album/ tour?
We will be hitting the road with our mates Two Headed Dog and playing a national tour through
September and October with them. Both bands have new stuff to flog to the world so come along and check it out!
How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
The biggest, triple cheese burger you’ve ever seen in your face! All grease meat and oil. Great with a beer in hand and best served straight into your mouth hole.
Which song resonates most strongly and why?
“King of the World” from our next release “Sunny Disposition”. We love playing this one live. It’s a grunge track at its core but it’s really heavy. There’s something fierce and snarling about it. I guess that’s why we dig playing it so much.
Any on the road anecdotes?
“From a 70s rock perspective….hmmmmm”
Where do you draw inspiration from?
Everywhere, but particularly stuff that pisses us off!
What’s next for you?
A national tour with our buddies Two Headed Dog (Melb) in Sep/Oct 2015. We are unleashing our new album “Sunny Disposition” and heading to the UK and Germany in 2016.
What’s your scene?
What’s a scene? We’ve never been invited to one…
About Long Holiday
Long Holiday mine a rich seam of heavy punk fuzz in fist-punching fashion, and sew ferocious guitar lines, pummelling sludge soaked bass along with killer drums in their high energy punk/grunge dominated songs.
The band is influenced by the likes of Babes In Toyland, Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age. Fronted by Gina Wessel on lead vocals and guitar, with bassist Andie Fitzpatrick and drummer Marc Russo Long Holiday play music that is catchy and most importantly damn fun. The band will be promoting the first single lifted off their upcoming release Sunny Disposition.
With a perfect coupling of in-your-face frenetic energy, and high octane shows, Melbourne bands Long Holiday and Two Headed Dog join forces to hit the road together to cause a bit of mayhem and play a string of dates in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Ballarat. You can catch them on Friday 2nd October at The Eastern Hotel Ballarat; Saturday 3rd October at St Andrews Hotel, Melbourne; Friday 9th October at Bahas Tacos Rye; Saturday 10th October at Yah Yahs; and Sunday 11th October at Rack Em up Pool Bar Lilydale.
