Q&A Scene: Catherine Traicos

Catherine Traicos is currently on her album tour.

What’s your favourite work at this point in time?

I like working with the band – the collaborative creative process is more fun.

Tell us a quick, on the road or studio, anecdote.

On the most recent recording Jules (drummer on this album) and I ate delicious quiche (made by his talented wife) at midnight on the side of the road in Dalston after completing the drum recording. We shared it with a woman whom I’m pretty sure was homeless and pretending not to be. I’m glad she got to have some home cooked food.

What, or who, inspires you?

Music inspires me. I listen to a very wide range.

How would you describe your sound in food form and why?

Blood orange dark chocolate.

Which song do you wish you wrote?

“Crazy” by Willie Nelson

What’s next for you?

A special Chrismukkah release!

What’s your scene?

In bed by 9pm wishing it was the nineties so I could do the same but with a better soundtrack.
