Q&A Scene: 2016 Reclink Community Cup Special: Nick Cooper

Nick Cooper (Coops)

Are you a Rockdog or Megahertz? Which band or radio station are you from?

Play in My Dynamite (as well as The Relatives & WILSN)

As it has now gone national, which Reclink Community Cup will you be playing in?

Melbourne (home), Hobart, Sydney, Adelaide and hopefully Brisbane too!

Why do you participate in the Reclink Community Cup?

It has been such a privilege to be involved from runner/water boy through to player and now captain of the mighty Rockdogs, as well as play in Sydney and Adelaide and meet/mix in with their music and radio communities. I now can play a gig in any major music city in Australia!

What is your Reclink Community Cup highlight so far?

Running out to the middle of Elsternwick Park to listen to Paul Kelly (coach) and assistant coach Bob Murphy (Western Bulldogs player, All Australian captain 2015) pre-match in 2014 before an epic Rockdogs win.

What do you predict as the final score of 2016 Reclink Community Cup?

Rockdogs 7.17.59 def. Megasooks 4.4.28

What’s your scene?

Rocking out in a classic Australian live music pub (in the audience or on stage, preferably hanging from the rafters)

Nick Cooper (Coops) is a musician, industry professional and a very average Australian Rules footballer.
