Q&A Scene: Ken Murdoch

TASTE

Tell us about your new single/ album/ tour?
The new album Is a monster of orchestra, loud guitars , soaring harmonies and lyrics about death, abduction, terror and love!
The tour will be the same!
How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
In food form I think Taste is best described as Japanese blowfish- If you are very careful and pay attention you become addicted.

Which of your songs resonate most strongly and why?
I think the song I AM GOD  is the Taste-like . Very heavy guitars, some cellos, high singing and lyrics about “Screaming Turks in  1664!”
Tell us a quick, on the road, anecdote.

We once kicked Michael out of the car for saying that rain was the “angels pissing”.  He had to wait for the roadcrew’s truck to get to the next gig. We aren’t particularly religious but love a good prank.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

Inspiration lyrically for me comes from Pete Townsend, Stephen King and James Joyce. Musically its a mish mash of Led Zep, Queen and Puccini
What’s next for you?

Hopefully a long tour to celebrate the album going top ten!

What’s your scene?

Old bars, loud bands and red wine.
