1963 Gibson J50 (Serial Number 141633)
My first recollection of seeing one of these was in a photo on a Shadows album cover where Bruce Welch was playing a J45 circa mid 60s. A J45 is the sunburst version and the J50 has the natural (blond) finish. This was the acoustic guitar used on The Atlantics album “Flight of the Surf Guitar “. It is now strung up in Nashville tuning which really suits this particular guitar.
