Scene News: Lecia Louise Announces New Single “Love’s Fool” and 2026 East Coast Tour Ahead of Album Release on Foghorn

Award-winning Australian guitarist and songwriter Lecia Louise has unveiled her latest single, Love’s Fool, alongside a run of tour dates across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, building momentum toward her forthcoming 2026 album Strike To Ignite.

The new track leans into a funky, upbeat blues sound, pairing groove-driven instrumentation with a message of resilience and self-worth. Love’s Fool explores the emotional toll of giving everything to a relationship, before recognising the importance of receiving that same energy in return. Soulful and self-assured, the single positions Louise as both vulnerable and defiant, underscoring her refusal to be diminished by love gone wrong. The track was mixed by multiple ARIA Award nominee and winner Steve James.

The release follows a standout year for Louise, who was named the 2025 People’s Choice Award winner and achieved significant chart success. She has topped the Triple J Unearthed Online charts twice, reached No. 2 on the AMRAP Regional Charts, and secured the No. 1 spot on the Alternative Chart three times in 2025.

With more than two decades of national and international touring behind her, Louise has built a reputation as a commanding live performer. Her sound blends rock, blues, country, soul and improvisation, driven by soaring guitar work and a distinctive musical authority that sets her apart from traditional singer-songwriters.

Her career has taken her across Australia as well as to the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Along the way, she has shared stages with major Australian acts including Jimmy Barnes, James Morrison, Jon Stevens, Grinspoon, The Black Sorrows, Ross Wilson, The Baby Animals, Sarah McLeod, Suzi Quatro, Phil Emmanuel and Daryl Braithwaite.

Louise is also a familiar face on the festival circuit, with appearances at Woodford Folk Festival, Blues on Broadbeach, the Gympie Muster, Adelaide Guitar Festival, Agnes Blues & Roots Festival, Mullumbimby Festival, Rock the Boat and West End Festival. Her return to the Gympie Muster has now been confirmed as part of her upcoming run.

Industry praise continues to follow her work, with The Mystery Train presenter David Roman describing her as “a fabulous guitarist and singer and a great asset to Australia’s blues and roots artist community,” while guitarist Nita Strauss has applauded her “clean, elegant, tasty playing.” Brisbane publication Time Off has similarly noted her ability to channel 70s rock influences while producing fresh, hook-driven material.

A Bachelor of Popular Music (Honours) graduate, Louise remains one of Australia’s most respected contemporary guitarists, continuing to forge a bold and authentic path through rock, blues, roots and country. With Strike To Ignite on the horizon, Love’s Fool offers a confident first glimpse into her next chapter.

Tour dates and ticketing information are expected to follow, with media opportunities, interviews and live reviews currently available upon request.
