Named after the 1971 Alan Arkin-directed film, Rob Griffiths formed Little Murders in 1979 and they soon became the most influential mod band during the late ’70s and early ’80s in Melbourne, Australia.

Girl Germs describe themselves as “Three hot hot hot chiko roles from the cultural deep fryer which is the city of Melbourne. We will leave a questionable taste in your mouth and a catchy tune in your mind.”

Starting with a prodigious output of solo project lo-fi garage rock that echoed the sounds emanating from the dive bars of NYC 20 years ago, Mississippi native John Barret’s Bass Drum of Death are now a live performance and touring juggernaught. Since forming in 2008, and releasing their debut EP Stain Stick Skin on the tastemaking Fat Possum Records; the band’s touring lineup has evolved from Barrett solo playing a bass drum and guitar to the searing, raw live experience they deliver with a drums and two guitar attack these days.

With a stellar career spanning 4 decades Richard Clapton is an Australian music icon, his songs are the soundtrack of our lives. Richard has continually recorded and released numerous records with an unmistakable Australian sound.

Leading the tribute were The Celibate Rifles, the band Damo fronted for 39 years. Rifles members past and present shared the stage with a host of guest singers including Ben Brown (The Hellmenn), Evil Dick (HiTS), the ageless Jeff Duff and mega-fan Jello Biafra; frontman for the Guantanamo School of Medicine and founding member of the Dead Kennedys.

On August 3rd 2019 The Celibate Rifles lost their beloved frontman and friend Damien Lovelock.
