The Memphis legend performed his first-ever dates outside of the US in April around local screenings of Waiting: The Van Duren Story, a film that’s been described as “a love letter to the artist that should have helped define a generation”.

Madeline Leman and The Desert Swells will take you on a trip through 60s surf, 70s pop, and their unique brand of ‘Femmericana’ twang. Influenced by Bonnie Raitt and Patsy Cline, Madeline captivates audiences with stories of strong women who ramble their way through the mundane and the profound. The Desert Swells will be performing songs from their debut album Nobody’s Fool, a collection of Americana classics, that together present as Leman’s own feminist manifesto. Featuring the vocals of Leah Senior, her band creates the perfect backdrop of 1970s women’s lib-nostalgia met head on with a fresh take on country songwriting. Leman’s strong vocals and playful pop sentiment provide a powerful listening experience that will move both body and mind.

Davey Lane has been honing his craft for close to two decades now – working with greats of the music industry such as Crowded House, Jimmy Barnes, Robyn Hitchcock, Masters’ Apprentices, The Saints as well as legendary Australian rock group You Am I, with whom he has been right of stage on lead guitar since 1999, at the age of 18. Years of learning from many local and international songwriting greats have seen Davey himself grow in turn as a songwriter, with a smart pop sensibility, a keen ear for a big chorus and a surreal turn of phrase.

1000mods is a stoner rock band from Chiliomodi, Greece, formed in 2006. The name of the group is a pun linked to the village in which they were formed, as “a thousand” is pronounced “chillia” in Greek. Their main music influences include bands such as Black Sabbath, Colour Haze, Kyuss and MC5.

Having risen from smokey basements to packed arenas, children of the now-legendary Greek underground heavy rock scene of the mid 00’s, 1000mods can be considered no less than the most successful Greek rock band of the past decade.
