What happens when Rob Snarski, founding member of the Black-eyed Susans, teams up with Lindy Morrison, drummer with iconic Australian cult band, The Go Betweens? The result is a genuine and soulful exposé into both human frailty and ecstatic joy, intertwined with haunting vocals and melodies that take the listener on a journey through loss and hope.

This acoustic evening, hosted at Adelaide’s premier intimate venue, The Wheatsheaf Hotel, was part of Adelaide’s Fringe Festival. Rob Snarski, on vocals and guitar, and Lindy Morrison, on drums, were joined by several friends such as Romana Ashton and Harry T. Gent on vocals, Greg Blanch on pedal steel and Karl Melvin on bass.

One particular tune, ‘Conversation with a Brisbane cab driver’, was indicative of Rob’s intriguing story telling skills that leave the audience transfixed by the repetitive, haunting and hopeful refrain, “I’m still breathing….. I’m still breathing”. Lindy’s trademark edgy drum work and bubbly persona contrasted remarkedly to create a musical duo that should not be missed.
