The album is a sonic explosion of sound / we used the surrounding atmosphere to create some heavy fuzz tones, or maybe it’s all smoke and mirrors. We gave it all you’ve got, beg borrow steal to get it done!! The up coming album shows are going to be a total blast… We are doing the whole thing DIY with help from two truely independent labels (in the meaning of the word) don’t follow trends – do it for real and the right reasons!!
What’s your favourite work at this point in time?
We were lucky enough to do a split single for a tour we did last year, with the iconic English band Swervedriver!!
Tell us a quick, in the studio or on-the-road anecdote.
The time when some security guards help themselves to our merch / just do realise that our flat mates cat had pissed on the t shirts they had just taken. Or. When the hire car company gave us a mini minor sized car to load the fridge sized amp into.
What, or who, inspires you to create?
We get inspiration from many different art forms. Krautrock, afro beat, garage punk, heavy Psych rock. Abstraction, Surrealism, Pop Art and Op art..
Which song do you wish you wrote?
Hocus-Pocus by Focus (yodelling lead-break)
What’s next for you?
Yacht rock and long island ice teas!!
What’s your scene?
We are fringe dwellers, we are our own scene, live on the fringe of many different scenes!! No matter where you are in the world, you’ll normally always find like minded individuals..

“With members hailing from The Mess Hall and Treatment you might call Grinding Eyes somewhat of a local supergroup, and with the unity of Krautrock, Shoegaze, grunge and 60s acid-flashback – psychedelia, you could very well say Grinding Eyes are a supergroup of genres”Heavy Mag 2017
