Leftfield’s trademark multi-layered electronic style felt enormous live — deep basslines rolling underneath swirling synths and percussion that built into wave after wave of rhythm.  Massive video graphics pulsed and flickered in perfect sync with the music, creating an immersive backdrop that matched the intensity of the sound.

There were moments where the set leaned into reggae fusion and ska-influenced grooves, giving the music a warm, dubby feel that had the audience swaying and dancing. Vocals by Cheshire Cat cut through the dense soundscape beautifully, adding another dimension to the already rich mix.

The crowd clearly knew the catalogue too. Familiar tracks landed with huge energy, particularly when the unmistakable opening of “Open Up” hit. The screens lit up with archival footage of John Lydon of the Sex Pistols performing the vocals, a moment that drew a big cheer from the audience and pushed the atmosphere up another notch.

By the end of the night the Gardens felt like a giant outdoor club — booming beats, hypnotic visuals and a crowd completely locked into the groove. Leftfield still know exactly how to move a dancefloor.
