What can we expect from your performance at Wanstock?
Fans can expect a really high energy rock show, taking everyone on a trip back to when Aussie music ruled the world.
What’s your favourite work at this point in time? (your group’s work)
“Garage Mahal” is Taxiride’s best work by far, in my opinion.
How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
My sound would be a buffet – it has something for everyone, an abundance of colour and tastes from all over the world.
Tell us a quick, on the road or studio, anecdote.
I was working in the studio with Charles Fisher and he gave me some great advice: Make every word count. I now live by that when I’m creating music these days.
What, or who, inspires you?
I’m usually inspired by my family, my friends and by events that surround me.
Which song do you wish you wrote?
I wish I wrote “Sign O’ The Times” by Prince and “Kashmir” by Led Zeppelin
What’s next for you?
Touring, releasing some new music, more touring and travel. I really feel like Taxiride ft Jason Singh has a brand new lease on life and I’m going to go as hard as I can with it.
What’s your scene?
It used to be “work hard and play harder” but nowadays it’s “work hard then work harder”
