Tell us about your new single ‘Room 309’?
Room 309 is funnily enough one of our oldest songs. It was written about 3 years ago, so it’s really cool to have it finished and released! The track is pretty much about someone who is extremely unsatisfied with how their life has turned out. This person grew up with such high ambitions and goals and has hit the point in life where they can decide to either continue on that life of unhappiness, or make a move and try to create meaning through following those dreams they once had.
What’s your favourite work at this point in time?
We’d have to go with this single Room 309. It’s something we’re super proud of, having put in a lot of work to get to where it is today. It really reflects our love of good vibes, in trying to create something that people dig and gets them up and about.
How would you describe your sound in food form and why?
Like a mango- full of goodness, full of flavour and good on a summer’s day.
Tell us a quick, on the road or studio, anecdote.
This one happens quite a bit but when we’re trying to get creative with ideas in our studio, Brynn will often go and have a shower mid-session. He reckons the shower is the perfect spot to get the creative juices flowing, so we’ll often be mid-recording and he’ll duck off for a quick rinse!
What, or who, inspires you?
Musically, artists like Tame Impala and Glass Animals. The way they go about creating, experimenting and producing music is next level, and to think they just taught themselves from their bedrooms just blows our minds. To follow these artists from the start to where they are today, really goes to show just how talented these guys are.
Which song do you wish you wrote?
Brynn- Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
Ferg-  While My Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles
What’s next for you?
We’ve got our debut EP coming out on the 25th of November, which we can’t wait for! We’re really keen to get that out and hope people like it. Hopefully places in Melbourne keep opening up and we can play some live shows too, but until then we’ll be creating and recording some new stuff!
What’s your scene?
A warm summer’s day, hanging out with all our mates, backyard or beach cricket (depending on location), a cheeky beer or two, a speaker, good tunes, and good vibes.
