A decade after it first captured hearts around the world, La La Land is returning to the spotlight — this time with a full orchestra, live on stage. The beloved 2016 film will tour Australia as part of a special La La Land In Concert experience, blending cinema and live performance in a vivid celebration of music, film and nostalgia.
The live-to-film event will arrive in three major cities, beginning at Sydney’s Darling Harbour Theatre on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, before heading to Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, June 3. This concert experience brings the film to life in a new way, with a full orchestra and jazz ensemble performing Justin Hurwitz’s acclaimed score live in sync with the on-screen action. Adding to the occasion, composer Justin Hurwitz himself will conduct the Sydney performances, while acclaimed Australian conductor George Ellis will lead the orchestra in Melbourne and Brisbane.
