“Honouring Fleetwood Mac and the Legacy of Christine McVie”

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than stepping into The Corner Hotel with 200 fans and being taken straight back to the sound of 1970s and ’80s Los Angeles spending a few hours listening to many of Fleetwood Mac’s most loved songs. And what a crowd – dedicated Fleetwood Mac fans who knew every lyric and stayed with the band from start to finish. This performance held special meaning, marking the anniversary of the passing of Christine McVie, the band’s respected vocalist, pianist, and songwriter. The afternoon opened with a Q&A led by former manager Dennis Dunstan.
The six-member tribute band delivered a faithful recreation of Fleetwood Mac’s classic era, built on the trademark elements that defined the group: the distinct voices of Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, and Lindsey Buckingham, a tight rhythm section, and the strong harmonies that shaped their sound. Their set focused on the mid-1970s to late-1980s — the period that established Fleetwood Mac as one of the most influential bands in music history. Seven Wonders added their own energy, precision, and warmth to the performance while staying true to the original arrangements.
The tribute featured “Dreams” from Rumours (1977), “Gypsy” from Mirage (1982), “Landslide” and “Rhiannon” from Fleetwood Mac (1975), “Go Your Own Way” and “I Don’t Want to Know” from Rumours (1977), “Seven Wonders” and “Everywhere” from Tango in the Night (1987), along with Christine McVie classics such as “Songbird” and “You Make Loving Fun,” and the powerhouse ensemble piece “The Chain.”
Beyond the strength of the musicianship, it was the atmosphere that stood out — a room full of enthusiastic and dedicated fans who sang all the lyrics and clearly appreciated every minute of the performance. The connection between the band and the audience gave the afternoon a genuine sense of shared appreciation for Fleetwood Mac’s legacy.
