Vintage Guitar Scene: 1965 Sunburst Fender Stratocaster

1965 Sunburst Fender Stratocaster (Serial Number L87419)

The guitar came from Norms Rare Guitars in Los Angeles. I was in the U.S for a few weeks and didn’t take a guitar with me, so I thought I’d call by Norm’s and see what they had. I was originally looking for something cheaper, like a Fender Stratocaster vintage reissue but on the day that I went in they were low in stock of those guitars so I started checking out some others.

As soon as I picked up this guitar I knew it was special. It’s all original, even had the original 3 way pickup switch still in place. It’s a real sweetie and fun to play. It can be seen in the videos for Makua Beach, Street Surfer & Going To Kaleponi.
