Star Scene: Under the Southern Stars: Robin Zander – Cheap Trick

Under the Southern Stars has taken 2 long years to get to Australia, with many cancellations, but now it’s finally here. This is the first tour of International bands since everything stopped for Covid19. Mandy chatted with Robin Zander about life and touring.

The iconic Cheap Trick, are a band who have over 5000 live shows under their belts and a career spanning five decades! With 20 million album sales and a laundry list of hits you all know the words to, including I Want You To Want Me, Dream Police, Surrender and The Flame among so many others.

They are also known for one of the greatest live albums of all time, the legendary At Budokan. However, they are not a band to just rely on their big hitters. Just last year Cheap Trick released their 20th studio album, In Another World, which received rave reviews the world over and featured the powerful, Light Up The Fire. In 2016 Cheap Trick were finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame!
