Testing Grounds, Melbourne

This tour was supposed to be album based – the band would play Joy Division for the first set and two full New Order albums (“Brotherhood” and “Low Life”) for the second. This show was different – the set list was thrown out and some classic songs pulled out instead. Among others, they played Joy Division songs Transmission & Love Will Tear Us Apart and classic New Order songs Blue Monday & Bizarre Love Triangle.

Along with the amazing setting – a previously vacant lot in the middle of the city owned by Arts Victoria, transformed into Testing Grounds (it was reminiscent of being back at SXSW) – the whole show was a special event. It was a rare treat to be at something that only around 250 people managed to witness.
