Canadian fashion-rockers Palaye Royale performed at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Saturday 14 September 2019 on their first headlining tour of Australia. Comprising of the brothers Kropp – that’s Sebastian Danzig on guitar, Remington Leith on vocals, and Emerson Barrett on drums – along with their touring bassist and keyboardist, Palaye Royale treated the crowd to a reckless and entertaining live performance full of swagger, flair and sweat.
The brothers formed their band in Toronto during 2008 when they were just 16, 14 and 12 respectively, and are now based in Las Vegas. They were the first unsigned band to win MTV’s Musical March Madness award, and were christened “The Hottest Band of 2018” and simply “the” group of the year by the English music press. Possessing a quality of thrilling showmanship well beyond their years, it’s easy to see why they steal the spotlight at every major festival they play, and continue to quickly build their devoted fan base dubbed Soldiers Of The Royal Council.
