Snap Scene: Los Almiros Festival, Almiros, Greece – 5th & 6th August 2016

The 5th Los Almiros Rock Radio Festival. Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of August, Kouri forest in Almiros, Volos hosts the already promising summer festival and one of the ultimate events of Greece’s music reality. Loyal to its fundamental principles of self-organization and self-management, without any sponsors and with free entrance, Los Almiros Festival is considered to be a music celebration for every taste and for everyone.



This year’s lineup, with groups from both greek and international music scene, aspires to cover every music demand and preference. The first day on Los Almiros Festival the bands that appear in the following order are: the psych rockers Birthday Kicks from Larisa, Godsleep, one of the hopeful names of the flourishing heavy – stoner greek music scene, Lionize, coming from the other side of the Atlantic ocean as an already hot name, the band – “phenomeno” of Greece during the recent years, Villagers of Ioannina City (VIC) and Truckfighters, the notorious, fiery rock trio from Sweden. The second day is expected to be as strong as the first with Xatzifrageta flooding with craze the forest from the very beginning. After them, Fundracar and Baildsa will rouse the festival in their rock – reggae – balkan – punk rhythms, whereas the psychedelic Flying Eyes from Baltimore, America will guide the audience through their special music trips. The 5th Los Almiros Festival will end celebratory with the unique Rumjacks from Australia, for the first time in Greece, presenting their awesome celtic punk show.
