A considerable amount of the Melbourne music community gathered at the Corner Hotel Wednesday afternoon to farewell our friend and mentor, photographer Ros O’Gorman. The afternoon was MC’d by Jane Gazzo, with speeches by Paul, Hayley & Tim Cashmere, Mary Boukouvalas, a representative of the SES & Karen and Linda Freedman (the Countdown sisters).
The room was decorated with many of Ros’s photos and mementos of her life, including SES awards and her beloved cowboy boots. The screens ran the whole afternoon with photos of her life, events and many friends.
It was a fitting send-off for someone who loved her family, her friends and her music. We’ll miss you Ros.
