Snap Scene: Lazarus Media Call, Playhouse, Arts Centre Melbourne, 21st May 201

Lazarus was David Bowie’s final project and was first staged in New York in 2015. This is the Australian premiere of this ground-breaking musical. Featuring 18 Bowie songs, including Changes, Heroes, Life on Mars and Absolute Beginners, Lazarus is inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis.

An exceptional cast of Australian triple threat performers is led by Chris Ryan as Newton, with Phoebe Panaretos, Emily Milledge, and the wondrous iOTA in Melbourne to perform in what the Rolling Stone called “Wild, fantastical, eye-popping. A surrealistic tour de force.”

The distinguished Australian creative team is headed by Director Michael Kantor, Multi Award winning composer Jethro Woodward, Choreographer Stephanie Lake and Film/Vision Director Natasha Pincus.
