Today we’re looking back on the first ever gig of Australian instro surf/psych band The Break. Consisting of Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie & Martin Rotsey (Midnight Oil) and Brian Richie (Violent Femmes). This was the first outing of the band in public, supporting legendary Australian Surf band, The Atlantics. The gig was at Notes in Newtown, a great Sydney venue that sadly shut its doors a couple of years back. Photos by Mandy Hall.
