Bob Dylan declared Dave Warner, along with Richard Clapton his favourite Australian artist. Warner began his music career in Perth in 1973 with his band Pus, Australia’s first punk band and well before the Sex Pistols. After travelling to London in 1975 where he developed a total concept of original Australian music he called `suburban rock’, Warner returned to Perth in 1976 and formed Dave Warner’s from the Suburbs.
His band for 2021 included original Suburb Tony Durant, long time members Martin Cilia and Lloyd Gyi, ex-Mental Peter Gray and Dave’s wife Nicole.
