Ville Valo, singer of former Finnish gothic rock band HIM, performed a solo show at the Northcote Theatre in Melbourne on Friday 15 March 2024, as part of his Neon Noir Tour of Australia. Neon Noir is his first studio album released in January 2023, when it debuted at number one on the Finnish albums chart and in the top five of the German albums chart.

It was written, produced, engineered, and performed by Ville Valo in Helsinki, Finland. His former band H.I.M is one of the most commercially successful Finnish bands of all time, with sales of over ten million records. The band played its final show on New Year’s Eve 2017. The charismatic Valo performed a perfect mix of solo and HIM songs tonight that showcased his distinguished baritone five-octave crooner voice. He had the black-hearted crowd in the palm of his hand all night.
