Sydney’s psychedelic rock-and-roll occultists The Neptune Power Federation celebrated the release of their fifth album in ten years Le Demon De L’Amour by headlining the second edition of Holy Smoke! at the legendary Tote Hotel in Melbourne on Friday 22 April 2022.
Fronted by their majestic Imperial Priestess, screaming Loz Sutch [Lauren Friedman], the rest of the band consists of battle-worn soldiers from the Australian underground punk, stoner and metal scenes – namely Troy Scerri (Mortal Sin) on guitar, Mike Foxall (Nancy Vandal) on guitar, Dean Bakota (Nancy Vandal) on drums, and filling in for Jason Whalley (Frenzal Rhomb) on bass was Will. Punters were mesmerised by their high volume psychedelic gospel that spread through the crowd like a glorious subterranean infection.
