Christian glam metal band Stryper played 170 Russell in Melbourne on Sunday 5 March 2023 as part of their Australian Tour. The lineup of these Californian rockers featured brothers Michael Sweet on lead vocals and guitar, and Robert Sweet on drums, along with Oz Fox on guitar and Perry Richardson on bass.

Formed in 1983, Stryper became the first openly Christian heavy metal band to gain recognition in the mainstream music world. The band’s fourteenth studio album The Final Battle was released last October.
