American comedy glam metalheads Steel Panther performed the final show of their Heaps & Loads Tour of Australia at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Sunday 23 October 2022. Led by Ralph “Michael Starr” Saenz on lead vocals, the band also comprises. Russ “Satchel” Parrish on guitar, Darren “Stix Zadinia” Leader on drums, and newest member Joe “Spyder” Lester on bass – the band’s tour manager, as well as Starr’s and Satchel’s former bandmate from The Atomic Punks.
After two long years of on-again, off-again announcements, Steel Panther finally returned post-pandemic to perform in the biggest Australian venues of their career to date. Known for their profane and humorous lyrics, coupled with their trademark exaggerated onstage pastiche of the stereotypical glam metal lifestyle, the Los Angeleans are set to release their sixth studio album On The Prowl in February 2023.
