Snap Scene: Rob Thomas, A Day on the Green at Rochford Wines, Melbourne 9th November 2019

American singer-songwriter Rob Thomas headlined A Day on the Green at Rochford Wines in Melbourne’s Yarra Valley on Saturday 9 November 2019, in front of 7,000 rain-sodden fans as part of his Chip Tooth Smile World Tour. Best known as the lead singer of rock band Matchbox Twenty, he released his first solo album back in 2005, after incredible success in co-writing and singing on the 1999 hit Smooth by Santana, for which he won three Grammy Awards. The massive hit spent 58 weeks on the Billboard charts and gave rise to his solo career.

Released earlier this year, Chip Tooth Smile is his fourth studio album. Produced by Butch Walker, it reached number three on the Australian music charts, the highest of any country in the world, showing just how much Australia loves Rob Thomas.
