Snap Scene: Remembering Tony Joe White (23 July 1943 – 24 October 2018)

Tony Joe White was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known for his 1969 hit “Polk Salad Annie” and for “Rainy Night in Georgia”, which he wrote but was first made popular by Brook Benton in 1970.

These photos were taken in 2015 at the now defunct Ding Dong Lounge, where White serenaded us while we ate authentic New Orleans cuisine. It was an unforgettable night.
