American industrial metal band Powerman 5000 performed at Max Watt’s in Melbourne on Saturday 14 January 2023 as part of their first ever tour of Australia. Formed in Boston during 1991, P5K has released ten albums, gaining its highest level of commercial success with 1999’s Tonight the Stars Revolt!, that has sold over one million copies and reached platinum status.

Powerman 500 is fronted by vocalist Spider One, who has been the only constant member of the band that currently includes DJ Rattan on drums, Murv3 on bass, Taylor Haycraft on rhythm guitar, and Dan Schiz on lead guitar. Frontman Spider One is also the younger brother of Rob Zombie.
