Mulga Bore Hard Rock performed a special 30-minute set at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on 10 September 2022. The six-piece KISS-inspired hard rock band is from a remote Aboriginal outstation community named Mulga Bore in Central Australia, Anmatyerre country, some 240 kilometres from Alice Springs.

After winning the regional battle of the school bands in the Northern Territory, they got to perform on the same stage as their idols. Mulga Bore Hard Rock comprises Alvin Manfong (lead vocals & lead guitar), Aiden Manfong (drums), Tryell Bird (rhythm guitar), Niara Tilmouth (percussion & vocals), and Talvin Bird (bass). Included in their set were original songs “Big Train” and “Let Me Rock and Roll.”
