Snap Scene: Melbourne’s Laneways – Tattersalls Lane by Josh Stanyer

Tattersalls lane is famous for it’s nightlife, hosting some of Melbourne’s most well-known nightclubs and bars. Sitting between Londsdale and Little Bourke Street, Tattersalls Lane hosts Bars, Nightclubs, and Asian restaurants on the Little Bourke Street end.

One of the many businesses on Tattersalls Lane is the famous bar called Section 8, a bar that could only be found in Melbourne. The bar itself is almost entirely open to the air and built from wooden pallets, barrels, and corrugated iron, providing a unique bar experience.

Down the street from Section 8, is a variety of Chinese and Korean restaurants, such as By Korea, and Shanghai Dumpling House, both serving a variety of Asian dishes. Across the lane is another restaurant called the Boiling Crab, selling a near endless selection of seafood, and famous for it’s fake sharks hanging from the ceiling or mounted on walls, and many other nautical themed decorations.
