Melbourne Rebetiko Festival – 2 day festival

Bringing together the Melbourne Musical Rebetiko community, this live festival is situated in the heart of Oakleigh and will celebrate the musical and cultural legacy of Rebetika and its impact on Greece and the world at large. Focusing on the golden era of this music, this festival will present live performances from various local artists on musical works between 1920-1950.

Featuring music from Smryne, Pireotiko Rebetika and everything in between! Covering the repertoire of Kostas Skarvelis, Soteria Bellou, Giorgos Mitsakis , Markos Vamvakaris, Vassilis Tsitsanis to name a few.

Spread across two days the festival will take place at the Oakleigh Caravan Music Club
