Snap Scene: Leon Bridges – The Palais 14th Jan 2019

Leon Bridges’ Sophomore album GOOD THING aims to connect his sentimentality to a future sound. Released in May this year, it rumbles with orchestrated ballads, and pops with danceable soul-funk vibes. Praised by industry, fans and critics alike, the record claimed a Top 3 US Billboard Chart debut and entered in the ARIA Album Chart Top 10.

Bridges has gone from honing his craft in a community centre – dancing while washing dishes and waiting tables – to huge success in just a few short years. He has appeared on tracks with Macklemore and ODESZA, performed for Barack Obama’s Birthday at the White House alongside Stevie Wonder, and has chalked up dual Grammy Awards nominations including Best R&B Album. His debut album COMING HOME was certified Gold in Australia, and has gone on to sell over 500,000 records and over 350 million streams globally.

A star on a meteoric rise, Leon Bridges consistently tours world over selling out iconic rooms around the world from the Greek Theatre in LA to the Leeds’ O2 Academy, and playing festivals like Glastonbury, Fuji Rock Festival, and our very own Falls Festival.
