Snap Scene: King Parrot, Old Kilmore Gaol, Kilmore 1st May 2021

Australia’s premier grindcore/thrashcore band King Parrot headlined Kilfest at the Old Kilmore Gaol in the regional Victorian town of Kilmore on Saturday 1 May 2021.

Formed in Melbourne during 2010, King Parrot has released three studio albums to date: their independently debut Bite Your Head Off (2012), then Dead Set (2015) and Ugly Produce (2017) that were both nominated for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Awards. King Parrot is Matthew “Youngy” Young on lead vocals, Ari “Mr. White” White on guitar, Wayne “Slatts” Slattery on bass, Andrew “Squiz” Livingstone-Squires on guitar, and Todd “Toddy” Hansen on drums.
